Bayley House has been part of the Bayside community for the past 65 years. The not-for-profit organisation provides support services for over 200 adults with an intellectual disability in the areas of day programs, respite and supported accommodation. Programs and services are individualised and focus on the skills, wishes and interests of each person.
The main complex is based in Middle Crescent, Brighton, with other buildings located in the surrounding suburbs. Clients also access local community venues and facilities. Over the past 18 months, Bayley House has been partnering with Trinity Uniting Church.
Client groups from the day service have been using Trinity House for program delivery. They access the kitchen for cooking sessions, use the hall for yoga and even have plot in the community garden. Several staff are based in an office at Trinity House, and the hall is used regularly for staff training and meetings. This partnership will continue throughout 2016.
